INTRODUCTION
In developed countries, a major role pharmacist has
been recognized
by the physicians in clinical aspect of medicines therapy. From the moment a person reports to the services of pharmacist has been felt in various stages of treatment. He assists the physicians, nurses and as well as the patients.

II. DEFINITION
Clinical
Pharmacy encompasses many activities
and the scope is wide open, in short it can be defined as the system concerned
with the rational selection and use of medications at the patient level, so as
to ensure the patient’s maximum well-being while on medicines therapy,
following appropriate and safe use of medicines.
III. ROLE OF CLINICAL PHARMACIST
Pharmacist who works in the clinical pharmacy will
be responsible for the following:
1. Counsels the patients on the correct use
of medicines and dosage.
2. Provide first-aid to injured people.
3. Treatment the patient who got poisoned.
4. Warns the patients on medicine abuses.
5. Educates them with the respect to
diseases like AIDS, Malaria, Tuberculosis, Leprosy
also immunization program and Cancer.
6. Educates the general public on Family
Planning and also plays a vital role in the
implementation of various health programs of
the government.
